 Mother Nature's Got A Plan

  Oh! Oh!

 Those old 1950's horror flicks were just about right. Except that 
 they were off by about half-a-century or so.

 C'mon. You know what we're talkin' about. Those old end of the
 world CHEESY horror films. Stunt guys in over-sized rubber suits 
 pretending to be monsters. Werewolves. Blobs that consumed
 people. Giant radioactive mutant insects on the prowl. And even 
 a wobbly flying saucer or two.

 All of which was very believable.

 Not.

 Those 1950's era special effects. Just didn't cut it.

 Well if you want a dose of reality, fast forward to 2003. Something 
 weird is going on. And it would almost be funny, except it's not. It's 
 serious. It's for real.

 People are dying.

 There is a plague of new diseases sweeping across the Earth.
 Aids. West Nile Virus. Henta Fever. Mad Cow. Lyme Disease.
 Ebola. SARS. And Monkeypox.

 Monkeypox!

 Who the "bleep" has ever heard of Monkeypox. Until now.
 And are you sure you want that "Whopper" your way. Mad 
 cow is like alzheimers. Only worse. -- No one wants to fade 
 into the sunset suffering from beef-induced dementia.

 So what is going on?

 Well, if you trust your friendly neighborhood scientist. All of these 
 new diseases are being roused up - so to speak - because the world 
 is simply a much smaller place than it used to be. If a disease suddenly 
 breaks out in one place, in a matter of hours it can spread almost 
 anywhere. And that's not to mention how human beings have 
 encroached on feral land everywhere on the planet, except maybe 
 Antartica.

 So now that we know where AIDS really comes from. { monkey meat
 or bushmeat as it's sometimes called } Is it really a good idea that all 
 of these strange and exotic animals are stuff for the food table in some 
 places around the world. There are enough domesticated animals, 
 tried and tested across the centuries, that human beings shouldn't 
 have to wander off into the jungle to find a meal.

 Hello Asia. Hello Africa. Are you listening?

 Don't eat that!

 There's a theory. Based upon fact. That in the rain forests there 
 exists thousands of potentially beneficial plants and animals that 
 have never been catologued in any book, or even glanced upon by
 the human eye.

 And so it seems there are also potentially many wicked diseases 
 hidden in these same places that can kick some human butt. There's 
 no need to wait for a virus to mutate on a farm somewhere. Deadly
 diseases are already in the wild, waiting to be unleased.

 And if that isn't scary enough. Realize that 99% of the species of 
 animals that have ever lived have since gone extinct.

 Hmmmm.... Maybe Mother Nature nature's got a plan. It's time to 
 teach these arrogant human beings who think they rule everything, 
 to slow down and appreciate the scenery.

 "Stop ruining my world. Be more responsible. You're guests on 
 this planet just like all of my other little ones. And I love you 
 all equally."

 You know what they've always said about Dear Old Mama.

 Whew! She's rough when she has to be.
