 Hillary And Martha
 One Who Got Away. And One Who Might Not }

 Hillary and Martha. Two women of power and prestige. One an 
 icon of sorts. The perfect homemaker. Martha Stewart. The other,
 an ex-First Lady. Wife of an impeached President. And now the 
 junior senator from the state of New York.

 How their lives have changed. Was it just yesterday, that Martha 
 Stewart was in fact a billionaire. An up from nothing maven who
 was not only filthy rich. But a woman who in every television 
 appearance seemed to merely tolerate those viewers out there 
 in the public. On the other side of the camera. Clueless housewives - 
 both the poor and the moneyed - who had turned to her out of
 need, so that they could learn the proper way of doing things.

 Oh how America hated Martha. And loved her. Never quite able
 to decide which was the stronger emotion.

 And poor Hillary Clinton. She was castigated nightly on the the 
 talk show circuit for the unforgivable "sin" of standing by her 
 cheating husband. Educated women of status along with feminists 
 of all backgrounds called her a too willing victim. If not an enabler. 
 "Real" women from the city streets - voices dripping in venom - 
 called her weak. 

 Why people asked, did Hillary stand by that man?

 The right despised her even more because after Bill Clinton's 
 presidency was over, Hillary was quickly off to New York state,
 and a run for the Senate. An office she did not deserve. Or was 
 even qualified to hold. How dare this tainted women seek a public 
 office?

 The left embraced her for the print and media, but in private was 
 Hillary really one of them. Could she be trusted?

 And now today. A president is in the White House that the world
 trusts far, far, less than dear old Bill. But, the indefatigable Hillary 
 has launched her counter attack. Her de-facto campaign for the 
 White House in "08" has begun. With a book release due on Monday, 
 June 9th, Hillary will reveal the woman she is. 

 And swiftly again the right attacks her. Regardless of what Hillary 
 does she is a polarizing figure. And with that label they will try 
 to diminish her.

 All is fair in love and hate.

 Meanwhile there exists a woman who is already diminished. 
 Martha the true victim. But not of a vast right wing conspiracy. 
 Martha is a victim of self. Of her own greed. Of not being careful 
 - enough. For the feared loss of a couple of hundred grand, 
 Martha has sabotaged her own multi-million dollar empire. She 
 has tarnished her name. Given the sharks the blood they wanted. 
 Put herself at great risk. And flimsy case or not, the Feds just
 won't let go. She must be made an example of. 

 "No one is above the law."

 Martha will not be another one who got away. 

 She won't be like Hillary.

 They won't let her.
