 The Brash Media Witches Of Cable Television 
 and The Michael Jackson Fiasco
 { Guilty Until Proven Innocent }

 The coven of  media witches that currently inhabit cable television are
 certainly enjoying themselves now that the Michael Jackson case has
 de-evolved into an ugly fiasco. One could sooner find a desert oasis 
 at the South Pole than an unbiased blonde anchorwoman on Court TV, 
 as concerns this particular case.

 The unprofessional, over-the-top, guilty until proven innocent attitude 
 of some television journalists only demonstrates the point that justice 
 as entertainment, is often an injustice. No wonder many judges around 
 the country will no longer permit television cameras in their courtrooms 
 during the high-profile cases. 

 Court TV, as an example, has become their own worse enemy. The 
 bias and sarcasm that is allowed against Michael Jackson on that network 
 every single day, only proves the point. Such schadenfreude is okay 
 on "The Tonight Show," but is out of place on what is allegedly a serious 
 reality-based television network. Court TV is much the worse now that 
 the always balanced Rikki Klieman is no longer a permanent fixture, 
 as is neither the equally unprepossessed James Curtis.

 Hopefully, Court TV in an effort to improve ratings, is not trying to 
 emulate the bombastic, unfair and unbalanced style of commentary 
 that rules the day over at Fox News. 

 Abrasive journalism does not equate with good journalism.

 Even if Michael Jackson did something very inappropriate and criminal 
 a decade or more ago, and in a manner bribed his way out of a jam, that 
 does not mean he is guilty this time around. 

 Each case must stand alone. 

 The Innocence Project which has used DNA evidence to help overturn 
 the convictions of a significant numbers of criminals including murderers,
 only serves to demonstrate that human beings are fallible and can make 
 gross errors in judgement even in court cases where the guilt of a person 
 is no longer questioned by all.

 If Michael Jackson did the crimes and is a pedophile he deserves no
 sympathy from anyone, and jail is too good of a place for him. 

 But allow him his day in court. His personal eccentricities are besides 
 the point.

 Jackson should be adjudged guilty only because the prosecution has 
 provided sufficient evidence of that fact and have proven their case 
 beyond a reasonable doubt. He is not subject to incarceration merely
 because a coven of snarly personalities on a court-based cable channel 
 { and elsewhere in the media } have so clearly demonstrated their dislike 
 for this individual and are - with apparent good humor  - contributing 
 to the orgy of contempt for Michael Jackson that has enthralled the 
 entire nation.

 Neither should Jackson loose his freedom simply because a desperate 
 family of grifters have found the perfect chump, a man-child who has 
 lost all resemblance to a normal human being, and who must therefore 
 of course, be guilty of the horrible crimes of which he is accused.
