 A Rat Provides Insight Into
The Mind Of George W. Bush

Ahhhhhhhh... Doug Wead has something to be thankful for. He's not
in prison. Because if he was, he'd better have an extra set of eyes with
a rear view. Rats don't survive long in a prison environment. And we're
not talking about the furry kind, either.

That being said, this disloyal man has revealed some truths about George
 W. Bush through the secretly recorded telephone conversations that have
been the talk of the land the last few days. From excerpts of the tapes
taken from newspaper accounts, Bush states that "I'm not going to bash
gays, because I'm a sinnner. How can I differentiate sin?"

In another interesting quote, Bush when speaking about his apparent
past marijuana usage says, "I wouldn't answer the marijuana question.
You know why? Because I don't want some little kid doing what I tried."

Hah! Bush is the typical conservative who prefers to stick his head in
the sand and pretend that what's swirling above the sand isn't really there.

On the gay quote, Bush being the staunchly religious guy that he is,
believes homosexuality is a sin. Although he demonstrates compassion
in that he doesn't want to bash any fellow tax-paying Americans. He sure
wasn't bashful { pun intended } about using gays to divide America
 during his reelection campaign.

So much for his "compassionate conservatism" as the Same-Sex Marriage
Ban Admendment was pushed hard during the campaign although it
had about a ZERO percent likelihood of going anywhere in the last
congress. The admendment was just a shameful ploy to inspire intolerant
 Red-Staters to the polls.

Bush's quote about marijuana usage is even more revealing of how this
man approaches politics. Arrogantly, he states in one conservation with
his friend Wead, that he wants to become President. { G.W. is a son of
priviledge, afterall... } Bush has no qualms about the public having knowledge
of his past excesses with alcohol, but for some reason he believes an
admission of marijuana usage is somehow different.

Maybe he was afraid he would be asked if he he'd ever tried coke.
 { not the kind that comes in a bottle!}

Admittedly, Bush has a relevant point that the questions candidates are
expected to answer in today's politics are a bit too intrusive. But instead
of pretending that he was a good boy instead of a bad boy when it comes
to regulated chemical substances, wouldn't it have been more impressive
if this so-called saved man could admit to his past drug usage instead of
hiding behind some philosophical point about intrusive campaign questions?

American youth are not the naive waifs of a half-century ago. The truth
may be painful, but it is a more honest path. Young people aren't going to
be fooled. They know a phony { Born Again, or not... } when they see one.

George W. Bush is as fake as they come. Perhaps, this explains John Kerry's
margin of popularity amongst the youth vote, last fall.

Bush's attitude towards the marijuana question perhaps is also telling as
to why he has fellow truth-dodgers Alberto Gonzales and Condoleeza Rice
in his new cabinet. This lying duo also has a preference for burying their
heads in the sand when faced with unpleasant personal truths.

Above ground or not, birds of a feather flock together.
